First of all, students study in a way to find employment in private companies operating nationally and internationally. Entrepreneurship Scorecard

Entrepreneurship Scorecard, which is based on gaining entrepreneurship mentality, equipment and skills to OSTİM Technical University students, is a follow-up procedure that allows the evaluation of the performance of each student in the university according to some predetermined or subsequently accepted entrepreneurial actions and in case of passing a certain stage.

For our students who have achieved a certain payroll in the Entrepreneurship Scorecard, our school will be given support and awards such as start-up capital support for the design, product, service or project they have established, job opportunities in OSTİM Technopark, finding and contacting partners, and internship opportunities abroad.

Competition in international markets is intensifying day by day. With the advancement of technology and the effect of increasing competition, businesses that can observe their environment well, keep up with the changes, and obtain accurate and timely information can open up to foreign markets more easily. Graduates of the program will be equipped with leading theories and concepts of strategy, leadership, finance, along with specialized knowledge in issues such as export, import, customs clearance, finance, international marketing, logistics, business establishment, management and commercialization. Students will be offered the opportunity to increase and highlight their knowledge and skills by applying methods such as simulated learning, experiential activities and learning through interdisciplinary projects. The program includes contemporary knowledge and approaches in the field, including digital technologies and creativity and innovation management. OSTİM, the SME city that represents 17 sectors and contributes to the international competition of our country with its more than 6000 enterprises, is the heart of the real sector. The Department of International Trade and Finance aims to train international businesses, institutions and organizations, based on the international commercial and economic system, with a global vision, strategic thinking and teamwork, entrepreneurial senior managers and experts in the field of international trade and finance. The curriculum, prepared with an interdisciplinary approach, provides students with comprehensive expertise in international economics, marketing, management, finance, marketing and export, import, customs clearance and logistics. The interdisciplinary structure of the program enables the training of managers who can easily adapt to change in the global market, who can make strategic decisions, and who have critical thinking.

Students who graduate from the program have the opportunity to work in the private and public sectors. First of all, students study in a way to find employment in private companies operating nationally and internationally. However, they are trained as entrepreneurs who can establish their own businesses. In addition, graduates of this department have all the rights that graduates of other economic and administrative sciences have.

There will be employment opportunities for international trade and finance graduates, especially in OSTİM and the surrounding region where the university is physically located. Graduates who have the opportunity to work in different departments of the companies, especially in the fields of foreign trade and logistics, find a wide range of employment opportunities in the public sector, particularly related ministries and institutions. Some of the institutions and fields that graduates can work in are as follows: National and international companies’ export and import departments, finance units, banks’ treasury, foreign operations and fund management units can work as experts, national and international money and capital markets as a fund and portfolio manager increase their chances. Insurance companies, factoring and leasing companies can work in foreign trade or foreign operations services, customs and logistics companies, as well as work as a freelance accountant or financial advisor. At the same time, they can be employed in the relevant public institutions (Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Central Bank and Capital Markets Board). Graduates of the department have the right to participate in all the vocational competition examinations that the graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences may take.

OSTİM Technical University, a higher education institution located at the heart of the business world, industry and public sector, is located in an important industrial center in our country and was established in strong cooperation with the business world, industry and society. OSTİM Technical University, on a certain day of the week starting from the second semester of the first year; In the eighth semester, he developed the “Workplace Experience” application, in which students will take part in the enterprises and transfer the information they receive from the theoretical education to the enterprises and the information they receive from the enterprises to the theory.

In the International Trade and Finance department, there are courses such as economics, business, finance, marketing, accounting and logistics. Students who take these courses gain basic knowledge in areas such as international trade, marketing and finance. Courses such as Mathematics, Statistics and Management Information Systems are also included in the program to enable students to develop analytical thinking and technical skills. In addition, they will specialize in International Trade and Finance with field-specific courses such as International Trade Theories, Import-Export Operations, International Commercial Law, International Marketing, Logistics Management, International Financial Markets, Global Brand Management. In addition, the curriculum offers advanced elective courses in areas such as International Portfolio Management, International Trade and Economic Development, Production Management, Innovation Management, International Taxation to allow students to focus on their chosen areas. In the lessons, educational techniques such as case studies, simulations, workshops, conferences and teamwork are used in company with new technologies.

Thanks to the field experience you will gain with the “Workplace Experience” application, which was developed within the scope of the applied education model with the slogan of “Experienced Graduate”, you will be better prepared for your profession, and the general culture, theoretical knowledge, skills, attitudes and habits that you gain in the learning process will help you in your university education process in a real workplace environment. You will be able to use it in your first year yet. Thus, with the qualifications you will have, your chances of being preferred in the national and international business world will increase.

The language of instruction of the department is 100% English. Students who cannot achieve foreign language proficiency are required to attend the preparatory program given by the Department of Foreign Languages of our University. Within the scope of the English Preparatory Program, the English level of newly registered students is determined by the Placement Exam. Students who score 60 and above in the Placement Exam are eligible to take the English Proficiency Exam. Students who score 60 or more in this exam are exempted from the English Preparatory Program. Students whose English level is not sufficient to directly start their departments are admitted to the English Preparatory Program starting from the determined level.

Within the framework of the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer, double major and minor programs can be made at our university. In this context, the students of the International Trade and Finance department meet the necessary conditions determined by the departments they want to do a double major or minor at the beginning of the fifth semester at the earliest, in other departments in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and in other faculties by considering the relevant YKS score types and rankings. they can.
