Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology (Turkish)
In the field of hybrid and electric vehicle technology, Turkey needs a significant number of trained human resource to reach a competitive structure with the automotive manufacturers abroad. With the hybrid and electric vehicle technology program, it is foreseen that it will be one of the high value added production areas in Turkey by exchanging information with companies that have knowledge in the field of electric vehicles within OSTİM or aiming to work in this field. OSTİM is defined as the biggest industrial region of Turkey. It has a significant amount of production capacity and knowledge in many different business lines. OSTİM Technical University will combine this know-how and production ability with an academic perspective, and will provide the qualified and competitive human resources that Turkey is in need
There are 23 automotive sub-industry manufacturing companies in the OSTİM region. By cooperating with companies, the manufacturing of sub-industry in the field of hybrid and electric vehicle technology will be paved. As OSTİM Technical University, by establishing a systematic education infrastructure in the field of renewable energy resources that has an increasing importance, academic support will be provided to the enterprises that want to work in this field. In this way, a structure in which Turkey has an intense competition, it can have a say in the field of production with extremely high value added outputs can be created.
In line with the “Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Model” framework implemented by OSTİM Technical University, our students in the Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology Department will benefit from the following differences:
Applied Education Model
It is one of the most developed industrial basins of our country, in which approximately 6000 companies operate within the OSTIM Organized Industrial Zone, where OSTİM Technical University is located. Therefore, our Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology students will have one day a week in their classes in their programs; in the last period, they will be matched with a business that is suitable for their specialty areas. They will work full time in this business; By combining the practical knowledge and experience they have acquired and their theoretical knowledge, they will start their business life at a certain level of experience during their graduation.
Our students will be equipped with basic information about technology-based entrepreneurship from the first term; with the Entrepreneurship Project they will develop, they will have the opportunity to test their first business ideas in the first year of their education. Our students with successful business ideas and projects will have the chance to establish their own business with the support provided by OSTIM Technical University and OSTIM Technopark.
Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology Department students’ experiences and educations they received during their two years university life, Entrepreneurship Project and Applied Education will be gathered under the Entrepreneurship Scorecard of OSTIM Technical University and presented to our student during graduation.
