2025-2026 Fall Semester Horizontal Transfer Announcement Based on GPA

Applications for horizontal transfers between institutions (domestic) or abroad (including TRNC) in the Fall semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year will be accepted between July 14-31, 2025, based on GPA.. 

   Candidates whose applications are accepted must complete their face-to-face registration process between 18-20 August 2025.  

   APPLICATION

1. Applications will be accepted between July 14-31, 2025.ttps://obs.ostimteknik.edu.tr/oibs/hoa_app/ will be held online (via the internet) at .
2. Applications sent by hand or by courier will not be accepted.
3. İThe required documents will be uploaded to the application system by the applicant as JPEG or PDF.
4. Care must be taken to ensure that the information contained in the documents is complete and legible.
5. Documents from outside the application system will not be accepted, and after the application process is completed, it will not be possible to add or update documents to the system..
6. The information requested during the application must be entered completely and accurately.
7. Students who have finalized their application will not be able to log in to the application system again.
8. It is recommended that you check your e-mail periodically, as any problems that may arise during the evaluation will be forwarded to the e-mail address you provided during the application.

   REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Photocopy of identity card.
2. Document proving that the student is currently registered. (A document obtained from the university within the last month with a wet signature, seal, e-signature or via e-government)
3. A document showing that the student has not received any disciplinary punishment. (Signed, sealed, e-signed, obtained from the university within the last month)
4. Document showing the central placement score for the year of university entry (ÖSYM Result Document) Document showing the placement result for the year of university entry. (ÖSYM Placement Result Document) (YKS/ÖSYS/LYS/TYT/AYT/DGS Result Documents) (Result documents obtained from the ÖSYM website must have a Result Document Control Code at the bottom. Documents without a control code will be considered invalid).
5. Transcript: Original official document showing all courses taken by the applicant student from the institution they will leave, the grades they received from these courses, and their overall grade point average (must be signed and sealed or obtained through e-government).
6. A document showing the curriculum and course contents of the diploma program at the higher education institution where the student is studying (for intermediate grades).
7. Official letter stating the situation of candidates applying for horizontal transfer from higher education institutions abroad, if their mother or father's state duty abroad has ended or if they are a worker, they have returned to the country due to permanent return.
8. A certified photocopy of the High School Diploma or a High School Graduation Certificate with a QR code obtained from the e-government system is accepted.
9. For candidates who graduated from high schools abroad, they must also provide notarized Turkish translations of their high school diplomas and High School Diploma Equivalency documents obtained from the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
10. Photocopies of passport pages containing photos and identification information for candidates applying for horizontal transfer from abroad
11.  Candidates applying from countries other than TRNC must have their documents Apostille Certified.

  OTHER MATTERS

1. Applications will be made online between 14-31 July 2025.
2. Applications made via e-mail, mail, cargo etc. will not be processed.
3. Applications with incomplete and false documents will not be evaluated.
4. Higher Education Law No. 2547, Regulation on the Principles of Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Majors, Minors and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions (​Legislation Information System)  and YÖK Decisions are implemented.

  HORIZONTAL TRANSFER DISCOUNT CONDITIONS

Horizontal transfer discount: In accordance with the Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions, students who will transfer to our University programs with their central placement score (YKS/DGS) or general grade point average (including within the institution) will have their central placement score in the year they registered to higher education institutions, the diploma program they want to transfer to;

a) If the 100% scholarship quota is equal to or higher than the ceiling score, a 100% scholarship will be given.

b) A 75% discount is given to those whose scores are between the ceiling and base points of the 100% scholarship quota.

c) If the quota with a 50% discount is equal to or higher than the base score, a 50% discount is applied.

ç) If the quota with a 25% discount is equal to or higher than the base score, a 25% discount is applied.

d) Those whose YKS/DGS score is not sufficient for the scholarship or discounted category of the program they wish to transfer to in the same year are subject to the tuition fee of the paid program.

e) If the program does not have a paid quota in the YKS guide, the tuition fee for the discounted quota will be applied.

f) These students are subject to the tuition fee of the academic year in which they transfer.
