Inspiration and Future Meet at TEDxOSTİMTech: TEDxOSTİMTech Event was held with the theme “Back to the Future”.
Our university hosted the first TEDxOSTİMTech event focusing on technology, innovation and social transformation. The night, organized with the theme of “Back to the Future”, reflected the visionary spirit of the university and witnessed moments full of information and inspiration.
Moderated by Gülden Aydın, 5 valuable speakers shared their groundbreaking works and future visions with the participants.
The event started with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, the Rector of our University, and featured inspiring speeches by Zülal Tannur, the Microsoft Imagine Cup World Champion who overcomes barriers in the field of technology and develops artificial vision systems; Elvan Odabaşı, a dietitian and entrepreneur known for her projects on health and community transformation; Prof. Dr. Uğur Batı with his expertise in communication sciences and arts management; Dr. Aslı Elif Tanuğur Samancı, Turkey's first local propolis producer and entrepreneur; and Prof. Dr. Ünsal Sığrı, professor of business management and leadership expert. It was realized with the support of the Defense and Aerospace Cluster, Medical Cluster, Rail Transportation Systems Cluster, Business and Construction Machinery Cluster and Rubber Technologies Cluster within the OSTİM Ecosystem.
The theme “Back to the Future” aims to bring together the know-how of the past with the creativity of today, and to build the future with sustainable and innovative solutions. Speakers who took the stage in line with this vision shed light on different dimensions of technology and social development
At the end of the event, a time capsule was created in which participants shared their hopes and thoughts about the future. Sealed to be opened in 2035, the capsule will continue to inspire future generations.
